In the opening match of tonight’s WWE pay-per-view, Sheamus outlasted six other opponents to win the 2015 Money in the Bank ladder match.
WWE tag team champions Big E and Xavier Woods came out towards the end of the match to help New Day partner Kofi Kingston, but it was Roman Reigns who recovered to take all three men out. Reigns looked to be inches away from winning the match, but the “New Face of Fear” Bray Wyatt made an unexpected appearance, knocking him from the ladder and dropping Roman with his signature maneuver, Sister Abigail.
Sheamus then climbed the ladder, dispatching former NXT Champion Neville along the way, and unhooked the briefcase to win a future opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
