As of now, the WWE Battleground PPV has two confirmed matches, those being Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins for the WWE World Title, and Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt.
WZ has learned from sources, within WWE, that the following PPV plans have been discussed, but are not yet confirmed.
–Kevin Owens vs John Cena for the U.S. Title is expected as Owens told Michael Cole this week that he wants to take Cena’s title. Officials have been discussing the idea of Owens defeating John Cena for the title, and having their feud culminate at SummerSlam this year.
-New Day challenging The Prime Time Players is also expected for the PPV, with current plans calling for PTP to retain the titles.
–Ryback is expected to defend the IC Title in a Triple Threat match against Big Show and The Miz.
–Randy Orton vs Sheamus is currently penciled in for the PPV, with Orton likely getting the win.
