As noted, WWE Superstar and Tough Enough host Chris Jericho has been making media appearances this week to promote tonight’s ‘Tough’ finale, and one subject continuing to come up has been Hulk Hogan‘s WWE status.
During his appearance with FOX News, Jericho initally ignored the topic, and instead focused on the positive spin The Miz has brought to the show.

Jericho was on HuffPost Live yesterday promoting the finale, and did address the situation in a little more detail. You can read his comments, and watch the full interview in the player below:
“[I’m] surprised, absolutely, because Hulk’s not like that. But we all say things in stupid times, in stupid ways. I’m sure you have, I’m sure I have. Whether it be those type of comments or any type of comment that’s not correct, that’s not right. But I think it’s one of those deals where, as a friend, you’ve got to stick by your friends in good times and bad times. I don’t condone it, and I’m surprised, but a friend is a friend.”
Jericho noted that he has spoken with Hogan since he was terminated from his WWE contract last month, and also added:
“You do feel a little bit let down. But I know this: Nobody feels more let down than he does. I think he feels very embarrassed and really bad about it.”
