Backstage Update On Impact Wrestling TV Tapings Due To TNA Bound For Glory Change, Update On Jeff Hardy Following GOTJ ’16

TNA Bound For Glory

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting TNA will compensate for the rescheduled TNA Bound For Glory PPV by extending their Impact Wrestling TV tapings in August, instead of bringing talent back for a September taping as a cost cutting measure.

TNA will reportedly now tape in August from 8/11 to 8/17, with six days of tapings and one day off in between. The shows taped would be for Impact Wrestling, One Night Only PPV’s and other content. Following this, TNA would likely have another taping around 10/3 since all talent would be in Orlando for the BFG event, and all the content in August would lead up to the PPV.

TNA Bound For Glory was reportedly moved from September 11th to October 2nd in Orlando, Florida after WWE announced they would be running their Backlash PPV on the same night in Richmond, Virginia.

Jeff Hardy

In regards to his behavior at last week’s “Gathering of the Juggalos” that caused some concern, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting Jeff Hardy was injured in his match against Kongo Kong and Willie Mack.

Hardy reportedly got knocked out briefly after a running hip attack by Kong, and it was feared that he might have been concussed, but later CT scans revealed he did not have a concussion. According to Jeff, he probably had a stinger, and his wife, Beth, later said Jeff had swelling in his neck that his chiropractic could help him work through.
