TNA is teasing the return of a legendary former X-Division Champion at Slammiversary.
TNA Wrestling’s official X/Twitter account posted a video showing close-ups of a wrestler, teasing their appearance at the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view. Fans were quick to point out that it’s about the return of former X-Division Champion Amazing Red, based on the gear and the cross tattoo on his hand.
The post comes after TNA President Carlos Silva tweeted earlier today, saying, “SLAMM is gonna be Amazing.“
While the post didn’t confirm what Amazing Red would be doing at Slammiversary, it’s possible that he could compete in the Ultimate X match for the TNA X-Division Championship. Champion Cedric Alexander, Leon Slater, and Frankie Kazarian are the announced contenders for the contest so far.
Amazing Red last competed for TNA Wrestling back in 2011. He is currently the co-owner of the House of Glory wrestling school, and also regularly competes there. He once wrestled in a dark match with CM Punk at a SmackDown taping in 2005, and WWE has uploaded the contest to its WWE Vault YouTube channel.

TNA Slammiversary will take place at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 28. The PPV takes place on the same day as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and WWE NXT Great American Bash. The promotion has confirmed seven matches for the event so far.
