Cena vs Styles and More Set for Tonight’s First Smackdown Live Event Against Raw

Tonight, WWE will be running the first Monday night WWE Smackdown live event, up against Raw, in Texarkana, Arkansas at the Four States Entertainment Center. Advertised for tonight’s event is John Cena vs. AJ Styles, WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler, WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz with Maryse vs. Apollo Crews and Kane vs. Bray Wyatt. Lead Actress Cast in Netflix’s New “GLOW” Series

According to Deadline.com, actress Alison Brie of NBC’s “Community” fame, has been cast as the lead in the upcoming Netflix comedy GLOW, based on the 1980s female wrestling league “The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling”.

As noted, Netflix has ordered a 10 episode first season of “GLOW”, and the fictional series, set in the 1980’s, will center on the life of an actress who uses pro wrestling and the “GLOW” promotion as her last-ditch attempt to become a star. The series is created by Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black), and is produced by “Orange Is the New Black” creator/executive producer Jenji Kohan and co-executive producer Tara Herrmann.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
