Daniel Bryan Says He’d Likely Wrestle Again If He Wasn’t Married

As noted, WWE Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan spoke with the media after appearing at a Phillies MLB game this week, and Philly.com has obtained the following quote from Bryan about ever wrestling again:

“It’s a very complex issue. If I was on my own, if I wasn’t married, I would be like ‘Yeah, when my contract is up. I’m gone.’ Hell, I might even be wearing a mask at an independent show next week dressed up as star man, Because it’s what I love to do. But, it becomes different when you have a wife and you’re trying to have kids.”

Mick Foley Not Happy with Daniel Bryan For Using Ellsworth on Smackdown

Mick Foley has penned an “open letter” to Daniel Bryan after James Ellsworth appeared on Smackdown this week. You can read the letter below:

AN OPEN LETTER TO DANIEL BRYAN

Dear Daniel,

I am a James Ellsworth guy. But James Ellsworth is a #Raw guy – and now YOU have messed with the wrong guy! By raiding Monday Night Raw for Superstars like James Ellsworth, you are setting a dangerous precedent, my friend. More seriously, you risk confusing the #WWEUniverse, especially the little Ellsters out there, who have been waiting for me to sign #EllmoreVsStrohman2 for an upcoming #Raw PPV. Shame on you, Daniel…shame on you!

There is, however a way out of this situation. How about if you and Mauro Ranallo come to Raw on Monday to call our #Cruiserweight matches on Raw? We’ll call it even and hope the Little Ellsters out there understand.

Sincerely,

Mick Foley
