On the latest edition of “The Ric Flair Show”, which you can listen to in full at this link, the Nature Boy discussed Lesnar vs Goldberg, Goldberg possibly winning the Royal Rumble and more. Below are some highlights:

On the Booking of the Goldberg/Lesnar Match:

I’m still in shock. To be honest with you; a minute and 26 seconds, I don’t know, obviously they’re going to have a rematch. I’m not there, not behind the scenes, but one thing I do know is that the girls Raw team had the best match. The girls Raw team against the Smackdown girls was the best match on the show. I’m not saying that out of any prejudice, but it really was awesome. With Brock and Bill, I don’t know what happened there. It’s hard to figure out what goes through Brock’s mind, but it was great for Goldberg, and our favorite saying is “what’s good for business.” They will have a great rematch there; and I’ve talked to Bill and he wants to work some more.

On Having Goldberg Win the Rumble and Main Event Wrestlemania:

With the momentum he has; I mean, Brock did him the biggest favor I have seen in this business in a long time. I mean, really, think about it. He just beat Brock Lesnar in a minute and 26 seconds, and convincingly. I mean, and they both look great, Bill looked to be in great shape. My only concern was my worry of him being ready; not to faults of his own, but be ready to be bounced around by Brock, but he didn’t have to experience it, so I’m happy for both of them. They both are making a lot of money, especially Brock.

On Shane McMahon’s In-Ring Career Following His Survivor Series Injury:

I’m told that he wasn’t hurt, so once again, just hearing that from the outside, that he wasn’t hurt and is going to be okay. He lives for that thrill, that moment, and as long as he is comfortable with it, I see no problem with it; and he likes it, he always has, so once again, I’m just hearing that from the outside that he is going to be okay. He’s definitely not doing it for the money, he just enjoys it, so why take something away from him that he enjoys?

On the Wrestlemania Plans Being Brock Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon:

I don’t see that. I see Shane vs. Hunter at Wrestlemania, that’s what I see, that would really draw money considering the unknown animosity, which nobody seems to understand or know, but clearly there is some.

On Where He Stands with Big Van Vader:

We’re great. Awesome. It is all worked out and I was frustrated because I had no idea what was going on, but I know he is very ill and I think he’s been given an estimated time of a length of his life, which he had the same problems that Blackjack Mulligan had, which obviously caught up with Blackjack so hopefully the time frame is longer than I’ve heard. I’ve always enjoyed working with Van, never had a problem with him before. I’m fine, I’m happy with him, we had a nice talk and everything is cool.
