Our WWE Clash in Italy results for tonight include Oba Femi clashing with Brock Lesnar, Rhea Ripley defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill, Sol Ruca challenging Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defending against Gunther, and World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu meeting in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship and the title of the Tribal Chief. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from The Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match | Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther
Gunther and Rhodes lock up, leading to a stalemate. The crowd is firmly behind Gunther, chanting his name. Rhodes does the Stardust taunt at the crowd. Gunther and Rhodes trade counters. Rhodes leaps into a chop from Gunther. Gunther works over Gunther. Rhodes fires up and blasts Gunther with a powerslam. The crowd goes wild as Rhodes flips, flops, and flies with a Bionic Elbow. Pedigree by Rhodes! Gunther kicks out. Gunther surprises Rhodes with a dropkick. Massive powerbomb by Gunther! Rhodes manages to kick at 2.9. Disaster kick by Rhodes. Rhodes lands Crossroad! Kick out by Gunther.
Rhodes attempts a super Cody Cutter, but Gunther counters with a mid-air sleeper! Rhodes turns it into a pin. Gunther kicks out and locks Rhodes in another Sleeper. Rhodes drops on his back, and Gunther breaks the hold. Gunther pops back up and traps Rhodes in another choke. Rhodes fades. Before Rhodes passes out, he manages to get his foot on the bottom rope. Gunther and Rhodes trade strikes. Rhodes locks Gunther in a sleeper! Cody Cutter by Rhodes. Lariat by Rhodes! Rhodes hits another Crossroads! Rhodes pins Gunther. Gunther’s foot is under the rope, but Rhodes pulls it so the referee can’t see it and gets a semi-dirty three-count.
Winner and STILL Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes!
After the match, Gunther goes ballistic on the referee as Rhodes smiles and celebrates with the crowd.
Grade: B
Great opening match. Gunther had this match won several times, and Rhodes pulled a fast one, covering up Gunther’s foot under the rope. Rhodes is learning from his mistakes, and he is now a billion times more interesting than before.
WWE Women’s Championship Match | Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill
Ripley and Cargill lock up, leading to a stalemate. Cargill ends up kneeing Ripley in the gut and slapping Ripley in the face. Ripley gets hot and lands a flurry that ends with Cargill bodyslaming Ripley through the mat. Cargill mocks Ripley by doing push-ups in her face. Ripley slaps Cargill in the face. Cargill gets dumped outside. Ripley tries a dive, but gets caught by Cargill and slammed on the ring apron. Fallaway slam out on the floor by Cargill. Cargill works over Ripley. Ripley fires up and lands a flurry, capped with a basement dropkick. German suplex. Cargill rolls out. Ripley lands a senton off the apron. Top rope missile dropkick by Ripley!
Cargill kicks out at two. Ripley sets up a Razor’s Edge. Cargill flips out of it and eats a headkick from Ripley. Both women are down. Ripley and Cargill go nose-to-nose. After a series of counters, Cargill elbows her way out of Riptide. Awesome Bomb by Ripley! Running knee by Ripley. Cargill kicks out! Ripley lifts Cargill in an electric chair. Cargill takes Ripley over the top rope. Ripley lands on her feet and drives Cargill into the ring apron! Cargill kicks out! After another series of reversals, Cargill turns Riptide into a DDT!
The Finish
Ripley somehow kicks out again! Cargill ducks a clothesline and lands a blue thunder bomb! Kick out at two! Cargill goes up top. Ripley cuts Cargill off and lands a back suplex off the top! Cargill kicks out! Michin and B-Fab run down to ringside. Ripley lands Riptide. B-Fab gets caught putting Cargill’s foot on the bottom rope. Charlotte Flair dives off the barricade and lands a splash on Michin and B-Fab! In the confusion, Cargill hits Jaded! Flair puts Ripley’s foot on the bottom rope to break the pin. Cargill goes nuts. Ripley headbutts Cargill and lands Riptide for the win!
Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley!
Grade: A
At this point, can we stop with the Jade Cargill can’t wrestle talk? Seriously, at this point, if you are still pushing that narrative, you are the problem. This match had incredibly fast-paced action and razor-thin nearfalls. This one could have ended at any minute. Cargill essentially outwrestled Ripley in a loss. Both women should be applauded.
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
Lesnar attacks Femi as soon as the bell rings. Lesnar hits four F5s in a row! Femi kicks out! Lesnar is shocked! Lesnar traps Femi in a Kimura lock. Femi writhes in pain as Femi struggles to escape. Femi gets to his feet and slams Lesnar to the mat to break the hold. Lesnar tries to lock in another submission. Femi fights Lesnar off. Lesnar hits another F5! Kick out by Femi! Femi will not stay down.
Femi reverses an F5 attempt and lands a chokeslam. A clothesline from Femi sends Lesnar over the top. Lesnar counters a chokeslam and F5s Femi on the commentary desk! Lesnar rolls back in and yells for the referee to count Femi out. Femi sits up and stares a hole through Lesnar. Femi lands several running uppercuts. Pizza toss by Femi. Lesnar escapes the Fall From Grace and hits another F5 for the win.
Winner- Brock Lesnar
Grade: B
They did everything they could to make Femi look like a killer by having him eat literally everything Lesnar could offer. With SummerSlam being in Lesnar’s hometown, Femi’s fate here was sealed, much to literally everyone’s chagrin. Going with a non-finish to get us to a third and final match would have made a lot more sense and wouldn’t have involved Femi eating a pin. At the end of the day, if Femi HAS to lose a fall, having it be to Lesnar is the only thing that makes sense.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match | Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca
As the bell rings, Lynch argues with her favorite referee (Carr). Lynch tries a sneak attack, but Ruca avoids it and lands a flurry of offense. Standing moonsault by Ruca. Lynch kicks out. Lynch punches the ring post as Ruca avoids her strike. Ruca tries a springboard, but Lynch takes out Ruca’s legs. Lynch works over Ruca. Missile dropkick by Ruca. Running knee by Ruca. Lynch kicks out! Lynch avoids a dive. Ruca attempts the Sol Snatcher, but Lynch counters with an armbar. Ruca reverses that into an STF. Lynch turns that into a Dis-Arm-Her. Ruca turns that into a pin. Lynch kicks out. Lynch tries to knock Ruca into the referee. Referee Carr leaps out of the ring to avoid it.
Lynch rolls up Ruca, but the referee is out of position. Ruca kicks out. Lynch argues with the ref. Ruca flips out of a Manhandle Slam and lands a kick. Lynch and Ruca fight up top. Top rope X-Factor by Ruca! Lynch kicks at two! Lynch pushes the referee into the ropes to knock Ruca off the top. Superplex by Lynch. Ruca counters a DDT and lands a superkick! Lynch kicks out. Lynch counters a springboard clothesline into a Manhandle Slam. Ruca kicks out. Lynch seemingly sets up her own Sol Snatcher, Ruca avoids it and lands a Manhandle Slam! Lynch kicks out! After another series of reversals, Ruca flips out of a Manhandle slam and hits a nasty Sol Snatcher for the win!
Winner and NEW Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Sol Ruca!
Grade: B
Sold match. Ruca had one slip-up, but otherwise this was tight. Lynch is going to go down as the Chris Jericho of the Women’s IC title division. I’m not explaining that. If you don’t get it, you probably shouldn’t be here reading this. (kidding, kidding… seriously, what are you doing here, you jabroni?)
Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship and the title of the Tribal Chief | Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
Fatu and Reigns lock up, resulting in a stalemate. Fatu floors Reigns with a shoulder block. Lariat by Reigns. Reigns slams Fatu’s head into all of the turnbuckles. Fatu locks in the Tongan Death Grip. Reigns escapes and rolls out of the ring. Dive by Fatu. Fatu sends Reigns into the crowd. Reigns and Fatu fight up the stairs and all through the crowd. The fight spilled back to the ringside. Fatu plays with the crowd about pulling out a table. Reigns attacks from behind and slams Fatu’s head into the ring post.
Reigns pulls a table from under the ring and gets clobbered by Fatu. Reigns responds by tossing the ring steps at Fatu. Fatu’s face gets obliterated by the ring steps. Reigns lands a drive-by that sends Fatu into the ring post. Reigns fires up. Fatu avoids a Superman Punch and lands a senton. Running hip attack by Fatu. Fatu sets up a pop-up Samoan drop. Reigns counters with a Superman Punch. Reigns calls for a Spear. Fatu counters with a Tongan Death Grip. Reigns struggles. Fatu sends Reigns over the top. Fatu tries a dive, but is met with a Superman Punch!
Reigns pulls out a toolbox from under the ring. Reigns crushes Fatu’s hand with the toolbox repeatedly. Fatu is screaming in pain. Reigns focuses his assault on Fatu’s injured hand. Reigns calls for the Spear. Fatu crushes Reigns in the corner. Hip attack by Fatu. Reigns rolls out. Fatu sets up a hip attack through the barricade, Reigns surprises Fatu with a Superman Punch. Reigns Spears Fatu through the barricade! After another Spear, Reigns goes for the pin! Fatu kicks out! Reigns rants at Fatu about doing this to him because he loves him.
The Finish
Reigns removes all of the top turnbuckle pads. Fatu tries the Death Grip, but his hand gives out. Multiple Superman Punches by Reigns. Reigns runs into a Lashley-esque Spear by Fatu! Reigns kicks out! Reigns calls for another Spear. Pop-up Samoan drop by Fatu! Mighty Moonsault by Fatu! Reigns kicks out, but low-blows Fatu in the process. Reigns slams Fatu’s head into the top turnbuckle over and over again. Reigns Spears Fatu through the table! Fatu manages to get to his feet in time to eat another Spear! Reigns pins Fatu!
Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns!
After the match, the Usos hit the ring and crowned Reigns with the Ula Fala. Reigns ill grills Fatu. Solo Sikoa and the MFTs appear in the crowd, watching the aftermath. As Reigns and the Usos are walking up the ramp, Jey yells for Fatu to come on. Fatu sheepishly follows the OG Bloodline up the ramp.
Grade: A
Match of the night, no notes, other than this writer has no idea where they go from here, but this was Fatu’s best match since joining WWE and Reigns’ best match since… err.. well, Mania, but still. Hell of a story told here tonight.
