Fans that stuck it out for the entirety of the WWE SmackDown Live and WWE 205 Live tapings were rewarded with a “main event” dark match between Randy Orton and AJ Styles.

The match itself only ran for six to seven minutes and Styles won with the Phenomenal Forearm after avoiding a RKO attempt, which came after Styles’ initial springboard attempt. Orton joked about the light crowd, asking where the fans went, and motioned to his wrist like a watch. There was also a comedy spot that involved the fans chanting for referee Mike Chioda, who posed on the top turnbuckle.

On the earlier tapings in the night, Orton and Styles continued to tease an ongoing feud with one another as both have yet a clear cut direction as to what they’re doing for WrestleMania.

Additionally, Heavy Machinery defeated Sanity’s Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain in the pre-show dark match before SmackDown went on the air.
