IWGP US Title Number One Contender’s Tournament Finals Set For NJPW Dominion

The finals of the IWGP United States Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament are set for NJPW Dominion.

Previously, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that they would hold a four-man tournament to determine the next challenger for IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega. Lance Archer advanced to the finals at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia; he was scheduled to face Juice Robinson, but “Rock Hard” was suspended for putting his hands on an official at NJPW Capital Collision. Archer then defeated Fred Rosser instead.

At NJPW Resurgence on May 21, former IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay beat Hiroshi Tanahashi to advance to the finals, so he will face Archer at NJPW Dominion.

Ospreay lost the title to Omega at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4.

As of this writing, the date for the match between Omega and the tournament winner has not been announced.

WrestleZone will have coverage of NJPW Dominion once it airs on June 4.
