AEW Double Or Nothing: FTR vs. Jeff Jarrett And Jay Lethal Result

FTR retained the gold at AEW Double or Nothing.

In a chaotic match, FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwodod) defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a match where Mark Briscoe was the special referee. The match featured multiple guitar shots, and Jarrett hit Harwood with one of the title belts. Karen Jarrett played a match in the match as well, as she hit referee Aubrey Edwards with a guitar.

Despite the challengers’ dastardly efforts, FTR won when Mark Briscoe slapped Jeff Jarrett (after he was slapped first), and the champions hit him with the Shatter Machine for the three count.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:

Sonjay Dutt tries to interfere, but Mark Briscoe ejects him from ringside. He also ejects Satnam Singh. Jeff Jarrett swings a guitar, but Harwood gets out of the way, so Jarrett hits Mark Briscoe. FTR hits the Shatter Machine on Lethal. Dutt stops Aubrey Edwards from entering the ring, and Karen Jarrett hits her with a guitar. Lethal drops Harwood with a Lethal Injection. Karen hands Lethal and Jeff the titles. Jeff hits Harwood with a title and floors him with the Stroke. Mark Briscoe counts the pin for a near fall. Jeff slaps Briscoe, who slaps him right back, and FTR hits the Shatter Machine for the win.
