Women’s wrestling has been on the rise over the past few years. One of the top female stars who has been a pillar in the women’s wrestling division is the current Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Athena. She is not only the current champion but is also the longest-reigning champion in all of Ring of Honor history. Over the past few months she has been trying to recruit other women to be her henchwomen. She calls them her Minions. Recently, it seems like a new wrestler has stepped up to be the ROH Women’s Champion’s Number One Minion.
On last night’s episode of Ring of Honor’s Honor Club TV, Athena successfully defended her ROH Women’s Championship against La Catalina. Following her victory, she was celebrating backstage with her Minions cheering her on as ‘the Baddest Champion in Ring of Honor.
“Another historic victory for the Forever ROH Champion. The longest-reigning champion in all of Ring of Honor history. But who’s the baddest? [Minions say, ‘Athena’]. No. You go to say that with more guts! Who’s the baddest? [Minions say again, ‘Athena’]. Who’s the bestest in the entire damn world?” Athena said.
Athena’s celebrations were cut short as Diamante showed up and asked where Billie Starkz was. The ROH Women’s Champion replied by saying that she doesn’t want to talk about where Starkz is at the moment.
“First of all, you will address her as Minion Number 400,237 and 3//4. And I don’t want to talk about where she is right now,” Athena said.
Following this, Diamante replied by saying that she is now Athena’s Minion Number One.
“Damn! Well that’s too bad. Because I’m Minion Number One now,” Diamante said.
