AI has spoken – you cannot sue Joe Hendry for false advertising.
In recent years in TNA, Joe Hendry has employed his catchphrase to good use. As the start of his entrance theme says, if you say Joe Hendry’s name, he will appear in front of you.
This has happened numerous times backstage in NXT and TNA. Somebody must have said it at the Royal Rumble this year too because he made a shock appearance during that event to a massive pop from the Indianapolis crowd.
However, this has raised some concerns over false advertising. With Joe Hendry loudly proclaiming that he will appear if you utter his name, would his not appearing constitute false advertising?
Well, one Twitter user decided to ask ChatGPT about this. They questioned whether or not it was false advertising, which the AI quickly responded:
“No you generally cannot sue Joe Hendry for false advertising simply because you say his name and he doesn’t appear. For a false advertising claim to be valid, there must be a misleading or deceptive advertisement that causes harm or damages, and it typically involves a promise that the person or business fails to deliver on.”
Joe Hendry responded, simply replying “Good question” and adding two clapping emojis – mimicking his entrance theme.
So there you have it, you can’t sue Joe Hendry, even if he doesn’t appear to you on command.
(Personally, I cannot see how that description doesn’t mean false advertising, but the AI overlords have spoken.)
Joe Hendry Says CM Punk Gave Him ‘Solid Advice’ At The WWE Royal Rumble
The Scottish wrestler recently sat down with Denise Salcedo and talked about his Royal Rumble experience. Joe Hendry recalled conversing with people like CM Punk, John Cena and Paul Heyman. Hendry never took the spot for granted, admitting how friendly everybody in the WWE was.
“I really enjoyed having an in-depth conversation with John Cena. I also got to talk with Cody Rhodes. Someone I’ve wrestled before and who was instrumental in helping me get my job with Ring of Honor. I had a great chat with CM Punk—he gave me some solid advice,” Joe Hendry said.
“Meeting Paul Heyman was another cool moment. I didn’t want to assume he knew who I was, but we had a great conversation. He’s obviously a legend in the business. Working with Shane Helms was fantastic—we got on really well.”
“There were so many friendly faces. WWE and TNA have been working together with open arms on both sides. I’ve been made to feel so welcome, and I know everyone else has too. It’s just been a phenomenal partnership. I know that there are thousands of people who would love to be in that spot, and I never take it for granted.”
“It was also nice to see a lot of the Scottish wrestlers I came up with in WWE. I hadn’t seen them in a long time, so that was great. And seeing TNA stars go to NXT and vice versa has been incredible. It’s added tremendous value to both companies. I’m just very grateful for these opportunities because so many people give their lives to pro wrestling and never get to experience things like this,” added Joe Hendry.
