One of the greatest wrestlers of all time is WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. Recently, the Texas Rattlesnake shared the story of how he met his wife.
While speaking to Stephanie McMahon on her Stephanie’s Places podcast, Steve Austin shared the story of how he met his wife.
“I was training at a World Gym with a guy named Dan. My wife thought Special Education and she never watched the business. She never watched wrestling. One of her students brought a WWE Calendar. And sure enough, she put it on a wall and it was Stone Cold Steve Austin in her classroom. She sees me at the gym, puts two and two together. And she goes, ‘Dan, is that that Stone Cold Steve Austin guy?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah.’ She says, ‘Do you think he would come and read to my kids?’ ‘I don’t know. Ask him.’ Long story short, I drove my Pickup Truck down there. Read to her kids.
“And then, I was drinking beer one night, I was like, ‘I’m sure it would be nice to go over to ask her the question.’ I was like, ‘Hey, you like Football?’ And she goes, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘All right, I’ll come over, watch some Football with you.’ So, I went over and I basically never left. We got married in ’09. Same year I went in the Hall of Fame. But we’ve been together for 20 years. She makes me better than who I am,” Steve Austin said.
