The Wrestling World Is Not Happy With Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff’s ‘Big Announcement’

This morning, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff announced their plans to launch a new unscripted wrestling company in 2025. And oh, brother… it didn’t go over well.

After teasing a project and a third man joining them earlier this week, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff revealed their third man this morning in the form of wrestling coach Israel “Izzy” Martinez. The three men intend to launch an unscripted freestyle wrestling league titled Real American Freestyle Wrestling.

To the surprise of no one (but perhaps Hogan and Bischoff), this announcement wasn’t embraced by the professional wrestling world or its fanbase.

Major League Wrestling President Cesar Duran, who fired Bischoff from the company earlier this year, took to social media to bury the new promotion, tweeting out:

“I gave Bischoff the boot and he rebounded with… that? Amateur hour. Literally. Thank me later for firing him before he pitched this in @MLW. *Dead emoji,*” Cesar Duran said in a post.

Fan response wasn’t much better. Here’s a hilarious collection of tweets from today following Hogan and Bischoff’s “big announcement.”
