Sean Waltman Reveals How His TNA Cameo Came Together

Sean Waltman talks about his surprise cameo at TNA Rebellion, and how it all came together.

The former X-Pac recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show. During the conversation, Helwani brought up Waltman’s TNA Rebellion and asked if the fans could expect more appearances from him down the line.

“I did that segment with The Rascalz… Trey and Zach and then another guy, but he’s in WWE NXT, Wes Lee,” Sean Waltman said before proceeding to put over the trio, “Anyway, they (sort of) idolize me. They would have their gear inspired by mine, and they are just really good kids.”

As to how his TNA appearance came together, Waltman said he simply asked Tommy Dreamer if they wanted to do something with him and The Rascalz at Rebellion, and they took care of the rest.

“I knew that TNA was going to be here (in Los Angeles) having a pay-per-view. And so I just hit Tommy Dreamer up in the dm and I said, hey, if you guys wanted me to do something with the Rascalz I would be happy to do it? And so they came up with that (angle) and I loved it. Now I had a great time. It felt good.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Waltman specifically praised the TNA talent for their attitude.

“It’s nice to see,” he said. “The talent and everybody involved, they were really upbeat, positive attitude everywhere… everybody getting along great. I’m not sure it’s not perfect there, but they held the crowd there. It just feels really good when you’re a part of something like that.”
