MLB legend Johnny Damon got involved in the action at TNA Slammiversary. His daughter had something to say about it too.
The chaos broke out during the TNA World Tag Team Titles ladder match, which featured The Hardy Boyz, The Nemeths, The Rascalz, and First Class. As the match heated up, Johnny Damon found himself face to face with Ryan Nemeth at ringside.
The two exchanged words, and things quickly turned physical when Damon shoved Ryan. Nic Nemeth, Ryan’s brother and tag team partner, rushed over and stepped in to calm things down.
Even after the scuffle, Ryan Nemeth kept talking trash to Johnny Damon, who also didn’t back down. However, Nic Nemeth reminded Ryan to stay focused on the match, pointing at the TNA World Tag Team Titles. Adding to the drama, Johnny Damon’s daughter was caught on camera flipping off the Nemeth brothers as they made their way back to the ring.
With the Nemeths losing their TNA World Tag Team Titles, the question remains will this scuffle with MLB legend lead to anything more? Likely not, as Damon was there as a guest since his A-Game hydration drink was a sponsor of Slammiversary. However, it wouldn’t be the first time that TNA used a notable sports figure to get some good press.
