The Miz Volunteers To Replace Drew McIntyre At WWE SummerSlam

The Miz is your guy!

Earlier this week, Drew McIntyre shared the unfortunate news that his appearance at WWE SummerSlam might be in jeopardy after he was denied entry into the United States. According to McIntyre, he was in England for a friend’s wedding this weekend. However, McIntyre’s passport was missing, and he was denied entry on his flight back to the United States.

McIntyre is scheduled to compete in a tag team match with Logan Paul. The duo will square off against Jelly Roll and Randy Orton at SummerSlam. However, he blamed Jelly Roll for his ongoing travel issues and threatened to make him pay. In case fans weren’t sure if this is legitimate, PWInsider confirmed McIntyre’s passport concern is a legitimate issue WWE is dealing with.

Just in case McIntyre doesn’t make it back for the “Biggest Party of the Summer,” The Miz threw his hat in the mix to replace him. Amongst his reasons for wanting to compete, The Miz said he brought Logan Paul into WWE and he’s beaten Randy Orton before.

He also loves big moments… Oh, and he’s actually in the United States right now.

The Miz returned to action on Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown. There, he lost a singles match to Jacob Fatu. This was The Miz’s first match in WWE since losing to Aleister Black on the May 2, 2025, episode of SmackDown.
