A new pair of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions have been crowned, with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss walking away with the belts at WWE SummerSlam.
In a match against the reigning champion The Judgment Day, it was Flair and Bliss who would come out on top. The pair took to the offensive from the start, but The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez were able to stay in the match. Bliss and Flair clearly didn’t have the best communication, and had some moments where they couldn’t get on the same page as well.
Toward the end of the match, The Judgment Day looked ready to win after Bliss accidentally hit Flair. Perez then hit a Pop Rox on Flair, but Bliss broke it up. Bliss then hooked Perez, and Flair came to Bliss’ defense, hitting Rodrigeuz with a big boot in the ring. With no one to help Perez, Bliss then hit a Sister Abigail DDT to secure the win and the titles.
After the match, Bliss and Flair still didn’t display the chemistry of champions, but shared an awkward hug to celebrate.
