Bayley’s WWE future has become a hot topic after a comment from Lyra Valkyria on the July 20 episode of RAW fueled rumors about her exit from the company.
Bayley has been with WWE for almost 14 years and has built an incredible career as one of the company’s biggest stars. But after months of mixed booking and a tough loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event, many fans are wondering if her time in WWE could be coming to an end.
Lyra Valkyria’s RAW comment sparks Bayley exit speculation
Those rumors grew even louder when Valkyria claimed on RAW that she “ran Bayley out of WWE.”
During a backstage interview with Byron Saxton, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca was interrupted by Bayley’s former tag-team partner.
Valkyria congratulated Ruca on winning the title. She praised her for doing a great job with the championship before warning that she plans to take it back after Ruca’s upcoming match against Raquel Rodriguez.
Then she made the noteworthy comment. When Ruca asked Valkyria why she was acting and looking different, Valkyria replied, “I’m probably just glowing because I dropped a whole lot of dead weight when I ran Bayley outta here.”
The line was part of her heel character, but it fueled fan speculation because it came just one night after Valkyria defeated Bayley at SNME. The two former teammates have been feuding ever since Valkyria turned on Bayley after they lost a decisive match for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Their rivalry reached its biggest moment at SNME, where Valkyria made Bayley pass out before hitting her with a Nightwing onto the steel steps after the match. The attack looked like WWE was writing Bayley off TV.
The storyline has become even more interesting because several reports say Bayley’s current deal could expire sometime in late 2026.
Her close friendship with AEW star Mercedes Moné has also intensified speculation. Moné recently shared fan artwork imagining a match against Bayley using her old ring name, Davina Rose, which got fans talking about a possible reunion in AEW.
