Miu Watanabe Wins 12th Annual TJPW Tokyo Princess Cup

Miu Watanabe has been crowned the winner of this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup after a tough finals match with Arisu Endo.

TJPW held the finals of the 12th annual Tokyo Princess Cup in Korakuen Hall this past Saturday, August 23. Former Princess of Princess Champion, Miu Watanabe, collided with the up and coming Arisu Endo in the final round. Endo brought out the best of her submission-based offense to the match. However, it was Miu Watanabe who picked up the win with her Tear Drop facebuster. She joins the likes of Ryo Mizunami, Shoko Nakajima, and Miyu Yamashita as Tokyo Princess Cup winners.

With this victory, Miu Watanabe earns a shot at the Princess of Princess Championship at TJPW Wrestle Princess VI. She will challenge Mizuki for the belt on September 20th at the TOKYO Ota-City General Gymnasium in the show’s main event.

Miu Watanabe and Mizuki’s history

Miu Watanabe is a former Princess of Princess Champion, and she held the title for most of 2024. At the start of this year, however, Mizuki dethroned Miu to become a two-time Princess of Princess Champion. Since then, Mizuki has gone on to defeat the likes of Rika Tatsumi, Miyu Yamashita, and Yuki Arai in highly competitive bouts. However, with Miu winning the Tokyo Princess Cup, she now looks to recapture the title she lost to Mizuki and become a two-time champion herself.

Fans who want to catch the rematch between Mizuki and Miu can watch Wrestle Princess VI on Wrestle Universe.
