Recently released WWE Superstar Shayna Baszler made a surprise appearance Tuesday night at NXT Homecoming. So, what is her current status with the company?
Earlier this week on NXT Homecoming, the former multi-time NXT Women’s Champion appeared in a backstage segment with Sol Ruca and Zaria. This appearance led to a lot of speculation online regarding her WWE status, as she was released from the company back in May.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, nothing is currently in place between Baszler and WWE. While the Queen of Spades is still a free agent, the company is hopeful that she’ll take on a coaching or producing position within NXT.
Baszler will compete for Prestige Wrestling on October 5 against TNA Wrestling’s Masha Slamovich.
