Women’s Wrestling Wrap-Up: Mickie James & Beautiful People Set For TNA HOF, WWE Crown Jewel Preview, WWE ID Title Vacated

Mickie James and The Beautiful People will take their places inside the TNA Hall of Fame. WWE heads to Australia for Crown Jewel. Kylie Rae relinquishes the WWE ID Women’s Championship, and more.

Mickie James & Beautiful People Set For TNA Hall of Fame

This Sunday, TNA Wrestling will host Bound For Glory from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, with a TNA Knockouts Championships match between Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell set for the main card. Elsewhere, TNA will honor a trio of former Knockouts with their official Hall of Fame inductions.

“Hardcore Country” Mickie James was the first name confirmed for the 2025 TNA Hall of Fame. Across multiple stints, James became a five-time Knockouts Champion. Her first reign began with victory over Madison Rayne at TNA Lockdown 2011. The latest kicked off with a win over Jordynne Grace at Hard to Kill 2023, though a rib injury cut it short three months later. James later returned for a Knockouts Championship match against Trinity at Bound For Glory 2023.

For her TNA Hall of Fame induction, James has selected Lisa Marie Varon, also known as Tara, as her inductor. “You’re going to be pleased with this as someone who was pretty synonymous with the whole in production of hardcore country,” James said on Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val. “I think that we made some incredible, historic moments together, and that would be our dear friend, Lisa Marie. I’ve asked her.”

Rounding out the 2025 Hall of Fame class will be Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, who together dominated TNA at one point as The Beautiful People. Love and Sky have also found success individually, having held the Knockouts Championship four times and twice, respectively.

TNA legend Tommy Dreamer will induct Love and Sky into the Hall of Fame. As of now, it is unknown if Madison Rayne and/or Lacey Von Erich, fellow members of The Beautiful People, will attend the HOF ceremony as well.

Also at Bound For Glory, Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay will defend the Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance. In non-title action, Tessa Blanchard will take on Gia Miller.

WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Title Up For Grabs

This weekend, WWE will head to Perth, Australia, for the 2025 edition of Crown Jewel. Like last year, both the women’s and men’s Crown Jewel Championships will be up for grabs. On the women’s end, WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will face WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Stratton claimed her title by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax back in January. Since then, Stratton has remained undefeated in the ring, with notable wins over Bayley, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. Meanwhile, Vaquer’s reign as WWE Women’s World Champion comes after Naomi relinquished the respective title in August. “La Primera” then went on to beat IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza for the vacant title.

Elsewhere at Crown Jewel, SKY will team with Rhea Ripley to take on Asuka and Kairi Sane, the latter of whom were once inseparable from SKY. After SKY continued to extend favor to Ripley, however, Sane and Asuka turned on “The Genius of the Sky,” blinding both her and Ripley with colored mist. Now, SKY and Ripley look to enact revenge by defeating them at Crown Jewel.

Kylie Rae Vacates WWE Women’s ID Title, Zayda Steel Not Renewing WWE ID Deal

Last year, WWE launched a new program, WWE ID, aimed at supporting and developing independent wrestlers and promotions. With it also came a pair of WWE ID Championships, later claimed by Kylie Rae and Cappuccino Jones, respectively.

In September 2025, Rae revealed that she was pregnant with her second child, meaning she would have to vacate the WWE ID Women’s Championship. Rae had initially captured the title by defeating Zayda Steel and Zara Zakher in a triple threat at Game Changer Wrestling’s The ID Showcase on August 1.

As of now, there is no word on who may be Rae’s successor following her WWE ID Women’s Championship relinquishment. We do know, however, that it likely will not be Zayda Steel.

Earlier today, Steel confirmed that she has decided not to renew her WWE ID contract. Still, she remains grateful for the opportunities that came along her WWE ID journey.

“I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you,” she wrote on X.
