Kurt Angle learned a lot from plenty of WWE Hall of Famers during his time with the company, but there’s one name he believes he learned from the most.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was a recent guest on Going Ringside. While discussing what he learned from working with The Rock, Angle said Rock taught him a lot about cutting promos. However, he believes he learned the most from Stone Cold Steve Austin.
“He was so entertaining,” Kurt Angle said. “The guy was such a phenomenal athlete and his promo skills were above everybody else’s. He taught me a lot about cutting promos. He taught me a lot about wrestling in the ring. Stone Cold Steve Austin, actually was the one guy that I learned the most from.
“He was one of those guys who would call the match out in the ring. You know, he’s an an old school wrestler. That means you don’t plan a lot of it backstage. You just go out there and do it. Improvise, and he was a great improviser. Him and Triple H and Undertaker were three of the best improvisers I’ve ever wrestled.” [H/T: Fightful]
