Maven believes that former AEW star MJF has the talent to become one of the greatest heels in WWE if he ever joins the company.
During an interview on TMZ Inside The Ring, Maven compared today’s wrestling fans to the political world, saying both are divided and loyal to their sides. “Get it, totally get tribal. I understand. I mean it. You know, wrestling often reflects society and look at the world we live in now – we’ve never lived in a more polarizing political climate. Well, wrestling is kind of the same way for those fans that only watch one brand, you’re missing out.”
He called AEW star MJF his favorite active wrestler, praising him as a “genius” performer. He added that MJF could become one of WWE’s greatest heels if he ever joined the company. “Yeah, I know my favorite wrestler today is MJF. I think he’s just a genius.”
“I think what he’s doing is legendary. I think if he ever gets a chance to go to the WWE, he’ll be one of the best heels ever. I’m sure he has [thought about it]. Well, he’s loyal. I know he’s loyal to Tony, but if you’re only watching WWE, you’re missing out.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]
MJF has been off AEW TV since losing to Mark Briscoe in a brutal Tables ‘n’ Tacks match at AEW All Out. Since then, he’s been busy filming the holiday action movie Violent Night 2. Recent reports revealed that production of the movie is nearly complete.
While there’s no confirmed return date for MJF, sources within AEW revealed that he’s been enjoying acting and has embraced his new Hollywood projects.
