Maven claims several wrestlers reached out to him after his Triple H comments.
Former WWE Superstar Maven Huffman has been experiencing a renaissance of sorts thanks to his YouTube channel. The former Tough Enough winner recently made headlines after suggesting that wrestlers backstage once struggled to trust Triple H.
For context, Maven was responding to Triple H’s remarks on WWE: Unreal about his past trust issues with CM Punk. Maven claimed that, back in the day, no one but Shawn Michaels trusted Triple H.
The former WWE Hardcore Champion discussed the matter further during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he also talked about his wrestling career, YouTube success, and more. When asked to elaborate on his Triple H remarks, Maven revealed:
“I’m not gonna say who, but five (non-active) wrestlers reached out to me and thanked me for what I said… Everybody knew backstage, everybody.”
Maven says Triple H deserves his success
Maven clarified that while many wrestlers were skeptical of Triple H’s motives at the time, his current success is well-earned.
“… People knew Hunter what he was positioning himself for what he’s got now. I don’t want to act like he didn’t deserve it or he didn’t earn it. He does.
“You’re never gonna find a better or a more intelligent mind when it comes to professional wrestling than with Triple H.”
