Ash by Elegance and the Elegance Brand are on the hunt for an elegant male.
This week’s episode of TNA Impact saw The Elegance Brand announce a Mr. Elegance contest. The promotion is seeking a male wrestler to fill the role. The winner will receive a one-year paid contract with TNA.
In case you were wondering if it was a gimmick, Ash by Elegance said that it’s a legitimate contest and encouraged prospective talent to submit their videos.
Ash By Elegance previously spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about potentially adding an elegant man to her stable. Ash said she is not only open to adding a male to their group, but it’s something she’s regularly discussed.
“That’s definitely something that George and I talk about all the time. We’re always looking. Now that this partnership is so strong with NXT, it’s like who could I recruit? There’s a lengthy checklist that everyone has to check off. I absolutely love makeovers. As you know, I made over M and I made over Heather. I did also help George, my personal concierge, “groom up,” so I love a good makeover. If I see potential, if I see that I can kind of mold you, you just have to be open to the idea. I definitely would love a male part of the Elegance Brand.”
Carlos Silva on Ash By Elegance’s future in TNA
Since then, Ash By Elegance vacated the title due to not being cleared to compete. TNA President Carlos Silva was asked by WrestleZone if TNA had talked with her about remaining as an on-air personality. Silva said Ash always has a home in TNA and they would continue to feature her as long as it works for her.
“Ash and I had a nice set of time when we were recently together in Edmonton [for TNA Victory Road]. What I can tell you is exactly what everyone has said; she’s not medically cleared to wrestle. And so, she’s going to step away. But I think she’s really appreciative of TNA, appreciative of the locker room and working with all of us. I told Ash that she’s got a home here at TNA, whenever she decides, whenever it all gets sorted out; she knows that.
“And so we’ll continue to do stuff with Ash and talk about it and figure it out as a good teammate. And she’s great. I think she’s brought just some great energy and attitude to the ring. And her having the TNA belt, I know it was a short time, but I think it did elevate everything. The Elegance Brand got elevated. We hope she’s not going to go too far away and we’ll be able to do some stuff together. But I think we just have to give her a little bit of time. And she knows that she can pick up the phone and call or text us anytime, so we can figure it out.”
