Ricky Steamboat wasn’t a fan of the AEW Women’s Blood and Guts match.
“The Dragon” was at First Horizon Coliseum last Wednesday in Greensboro, North Carolina, to witness the first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts match.
Steamboat reflected on his experience at AEW Blood and Guts during a recent conversation with veteran journalist Bill Apter. While he praised the participants, he explained why he was not a fan of the matchup.
“God bless those girls that was in that match, but I didn’t care for it,” he said. “I don’t know if it was just too much. I thought personally — I don’t know, they had 16 girls in there or something like that — there’s just too much going on.
“Over in this one corner, two girls are doing something, two or three girls doing something in the middle of the ring, then you go to the other ring and two or three girls are doing something. You couldn’t focus on anything because there was just so much going on. For me, it’s hard to react.”
Ricky Steamboat was almost dropped on his neck by FTR until AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) made the save. Fans can catch up on everything that happened during the segment here.
