Dominik Mysterio’s commitment to kayfabe needs to be studied.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion was a guest on ESPN First Take following the six-man outing on RAW this week. For those unaware, the match saw Dominik team up with Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh in a losing effort against John Cena, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio.
Dom’s comments on his relationship with Rey Mysterio left co-host Shae Cornette flustered, to the point that she thought what he was saying was true. This was another example of Dominik using the opportunity to mock Rey in hilarious fashion.
“I’m not a fan of fighting my father, only because he likes to take advantage of me being his son,” Dominik said. “He uses me in ways fathers shouldn’t, which is why I believe he’s the deadbeat that he is. I mean, look at this (points to the screen). Who kicks their child like this? Should’ve called the police. That’s abuse.”

John Cena gave Dominik Mysterio the opportunity to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW. However, Dom declined the offer and challenged Cena to put his title on the line at Survivor Series: WarGames.
The match is now official, as both superstars will run it back at the November 29 premium live event in San Diego, California. This will mark John Cena’s final WWE PLE appearance, as he is set to retire at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
