Nikki Bella Highlights The Tough Spot She Was In At WWE Survivor Series

Nikki Bella details the struggle she faced being a heel at WWE Survivor Series.

Nikki Bella turned heel on the November 10, 2025, episode of WWE RAW and got herself a Women’s World Championship match against Stephanie Vaquer at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, the WWE Hall of Famer explained that she found it hard to channel the energy of the heel character she portrayed before her neck injury.

“I’ll give away a little with not giving too much away,” Nikki Bella began. “I knew where we were at on the card. We’re in the difficult spot, and I knew we weren’t gonna have a lot of time, and we had to tell a specific story.

“So, for me, the one thing that I was told was like, ‘We need super heelish,’ because what they realized going into it was, if you didn’t watch the past few weeks, you would have no idea that I was a heel. And then they were afraid that I might go out and be a babyface.

“So the next thing is we have the package before that showed my heel turn so that we can tell the crowd, like, ‘She’s a heel.’ But they were just like, ‘We need heel Nikki,’ and I haven’t been heel Nikki since before I broke my neck. I’m doing all these things on the fly, in the moment, live. It’s one thing when you’re wrestling five years straight, doing all the live events, and it’s like, ‘Yeah, okay, I could change this, do this.'”

Nikki Bella Had To Find The Confidence To Be The Best Heel Version Of Herself

“So, this is what I told myself, I was in there, and I go, ‘We’re doing bad bit*h energy, because at the end of the day, it’s all about confidence. And Nicole, when your music hits, you’re gonna go out there, and you’re gonna have all that confidence in there. You’re gonna go be this person, and that will get you into that moment. So, you go take as slow as you want doing your walk, you go own it,’ and it happened to be so perfect,” Nikki Bella said.
