GUNTHAH!
Gunther walks to the ring to a deafening chorus of boos. Before getting in the ring, Gunther stands on the commentary desk and eggs the crowd on with a huge smile on his face. The fervor in which the crowd is booing Gunther is reminiscent of what happened after Roman Reigns defeated the Undertaker at WrestleMania. A “You tapped out!” chant breaks out. Gunther starts to speak, but gets drowned out by boos every time he puts the mic to his mouth. Gunther laughs at the crowd as they try to take over the how. Finally, Gunther powers through and says he did exactly what he said he would do: he made John Cena give up. And when Cena gave up, he tapped out like a little btch.
Gunther drops the mic and walks up the ramp. As the crowd tells him how they feel. Gunther powerwalks back to the ring and stands on the second rope, posing for the crowd. After letting out another laugh, Gunther walks up the ramp. Once Gunther gets to the stage, he turns around and takes another victory lap, capped with standing on the commentary desk again. Gunther grabs a mic and repeats that he made Cena tap out like a litte btch. It’s Gunther’s time now. He’ll forever be the man who made Cena give up. Gunther finally leaves, laughing all the way up the ramp.

Backstage
The camera follows Gunther backstage. Gunther runs into Otis and Tozawa, Otis asks Gunther if he’s proud. Gunther says yes and keeps walking. R-Truth tells Gunther he’s a piece of garbage. Gunther laughs and keeps walking. Raw GM Adam Pearce walks in and reads Gunther the riot act for what he just did. Pearce kicks Gunther out of the arena. When Gunther gets to his car in the parking lot, AJ Styles is waiting. Gunther asks Styles if he has something to say. Styles just stares at Gunther and points as if to tell Gunther to leave. Gunther gets in his car and pulls up next to Styles. Gunther rolls down the window and calls for Styles. Styles turns around, and Gunther gives Styles Cena’s “You can’t see me!” Taunt. Gunther laughs and drives off.
Grade: A
No notes. This was brilliant.
The Usos vs. The New Day w/Grayson Waller
Jimmy and Jey are in control early. Woods and Kingston take control after a cheap shot. Jey is sent flying out of the ring. Waller gets in a shot behind the referee’s back out on the floor. After a break, Kingston and Woods continue their assault. Waller is ejected from the ringside after getting caught cheating. Jimmy manages to get the tag while Woods isn’t paying attention.
Jey and Jimmy double superkick Kingston and Woods. Jimmy and Jey land their patented double Uso Splash. Woods somehow manages to kick out. Kingston and Woods hit their finish on Jimmy. Jey breaks up the pin. Kingston blasts Jey with Trouble in Paradise. Woods and Kingston set up The Midnight Hour. Jey breaks it up. After a series of Spears, Jimmy and Jey drop Kingston with the 1D for the win.
Winners- The Usos
Grade: C+
As far as New Day/Uso matches go, this was ok. Yes, just ok. The bar is too high with these two teams, even without Big E. being involved.
RheSKY
As the number one contenders, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY make their way to the ring, Ripley turns to the crowd, and a wild Asuka appears and blinds Ripley with the mist. Kairi Sane spawns and attacks SKY. SKY and Sane beat down Ripley and SKY. Asuka holds Ripley in place while Sane goes up top. SKY tries to cover Ripley, but Sane crushes both women with the InSANE Elbow.
Grade: B
Solid segment. Instead of an obvious brawl after a long promo segment, they just skipped right to the fun part. We need more of this. Mix it up.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Maxxine Dupri (c) vs. Ivy Nile
Nile puts Dupri in the Dragon Tamer. Dupri counters with a rana. Nile lays in a few punches. Dupri fires up and lands a flurry of strikes. Nile counters a spin kick into a powerbomb. Corner ten punches by Nile. Dupri reverses it into a powerbomb. Nile knocks Dupri into a tree of woe. Dupri sits up and suplexes Nile off the top. Dupri traps Nile in the ankle lock. Nile tries several counters, but Dupri is relentless and won’t release the hold. Dupri drops down and grapvines Nile’s leg. Nile taps out.
Winner and STILL Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Maxxine Dupri!
Grade: C
This one had its charm, but it was these two who looked to be in quicksand at certain points. This Dupri title reign is a learn on the job type of situation, so this writer is willing to give her some grace. With that, Dupri’s aggression when applying the ankle lock was impressive.
Best in the world!
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk stomps to the ring and grabs a mic. The crowd chants Punk’s name as he paces around the ring. Punk says he was forced to miss two weeks of Raw because he wasn’t medically cleared. The only thing more painful than that was being forced to sit back and listen Bron Breakker run his mouth. Breakker is a crosseyed neanderthal nepo baby. Punk notes that Breakker had the nerve to talk about how easy it was to pin Punk. Punk notes that Breakker didn’t pin him alone.
Breakker had help from The Vision. Punk notes that if Breakker mentions Punk’s wife again, he’s going to do not-so-nice things to Breakker’s skull. Punk says he knows Breakker doesn’t have the heart to face him on his own. So Breakker should bring everyone, even his stupid father, and even stupider brother, Scott. Breakker’s and his stupid family will realize that even with Steiner math, GTS equals 1,2,3, Punk wins, you lose.
Grade: B+
Another great promo from Punk. Midway through, Punk started to lose the people, but brought it back with a few hilariously cutting lines directed at the Steiner brothers. Everyone should run to Twitter to see how the Big Bad Booty Daddy responds.
Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez
Rodriguez tosses Vaquer all over the ring. Vaquer can’t get out of the gates. Vaquer attempts a crossbody off the top. Rodriguez catches Vaquer and lands a suplex. After the break, Rodriguez continues her assault. Vaquer fires up. Corner dragon screw by Vaquer. Rodriguez blocks the SVB. Rodriguez powers out of an armbar and lands a powerbomb. Vaquer responds with the Devil’s Kiss. The fight spills out of the ring. Nikki Bella hops the barricade and attacks Vaquer and Rodriguez. Bella drops Vaquer with the Rack Attack 2.0.
No Contest
Grade: C+
Solid TV match until the finish. Yes, Bella owed both Vaquer and Rodriguez. The problem is, Vaquer’s reign has had very little fire behind it. Vaquer needs wins. This didn’t help anyone.
Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul w/Paul Heyman
Paul slaps Mysterio. Mysterio trips Paul into the ropes. Paul countered the 619 with a big boot. Paul works over Mysterio, whipping him with a belt among other things. After the break, Paul continues beating down Mysterio. Much to Heyman’s chagrin, Mysterio fires up and sends Paul careening to the mat with a top rope rana. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker start walking down the ramp. Punk appears behind them and beats both men with a steel chair. Back in the ring, Heyman hands Paul the brass knuckles. Mysterio surprises Paul with a 619. The knucks fall off Paul’s hand. Mysterio goes to pick them up. The Masked Man appears and crushes Mysterio with a Stomp! Paul lands the Superstar Splash for the win.
Winner- Logan Paul
After the match, Paul and the Masked Man have a staredown. Punk runs back down to the ring and every scatters. The Masked Man stops in the crowd and takes off his mask to reveal… it was Austin Theory all along! Punk is livid. Breakker hits the ring and cuts Punk and half with a Spear. Breakker tells Punk that if he ever talks about Breakker’s family like that again, Punk will never stand on two feet again.
Grade: B
The match itself was so-so, but the chaos after elevates this entire thing a grade or two. We finally know who the Masked Man is, and though we all knew it was Austin Theory, at least he is rocking a new buzz cut and seemingly a more stoic demeanor. Having the reveal happen in the crowd is smart; it gives a plausible reason for no one to be able to get their hands on Theory. You have build to Theory finally paying for all of his interference.
Punk’s chances of retaining the championship are slim to none at this point. Unless Rollins is cleared, this writer doesn’t see how the scales get balanced for Breakker to slip on a banana peel to lose his World Championship shot. And even if Rollins hates Breakker enough to unintentionally help his mortal enemy, Punk? This one can go in about a billion different directions. Solid piece of business.
