Tiffany Stratton Nearly Broke Her Neck Practicing Dangerous Ladder Match Spot

Tiffany Stratton once narrowly avoided a major injury during practice.

Stratton was part of a high-profile match at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023. The Buff Barbie challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship in a ladder match that also featured then-reigning champion Roxanne Perez, Indi Hartwell, Zoey Stark, Gigi Dolin, and Lyra Valkyria.

During the closing moments of the match, Tiffany Stratton was pushed off the ladder by Indi Hartwell, causing her to fall onto the other participants. Hartwell would eventually win the title with assistance from her former kayfabe husband, Dexter Lumis.

Stratton recently posted a clip from the rehearsals for the NXT Women’s Championship Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver 2023. The video shows her practicing the final bump of the match, with Indi Hartwell pushing the ladder.

However, Stratton appears to mistime the spot, rotating midair before landing awkwardly on the mat — her neck missing the apron by a few inches. She revealed in the caption that she nearly broke her neck, adding that she attempted the same spot again and botched the landing once more.

“Throwback to when I almost broke my neck the night before a big match.”

While Tiffany Stratton failed to win the title at Stand & Deliver, she later had her crowning moment by winning the finals of an eight-woman tournament against Lyra Valkyria at NXT Battleground 2023. She later dropped the championship to Becky Lynch on the September 12, 2023, episode of NXT.
