Swerve Strickland got his payback for MJF’s Sean Combs comments on AEW Dynamite.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman was in action on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The former AEW World Champion made quick work of his opponent. But he was quickly confronted by Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page. They told Max they did not have to worry about the no-physicality clause in their contracts because they were not in the UK.
AEW World Champion Samoa Joe then appeared on screen, distracting the three men long enough for his Opps Dojo trainees to attack. However, the trio quickly fought them off before MJF was taken out by Page, who struck him in the head with a steel chain.
As Page choked Max with the chain, Swerve Strickland grabbed the microphone and responded to the P. Diddy comments from the previous week, telling Max that his toxic nature made him more of a Diddy than Swerve would ever be.
“You are a man that has power, and that right there makes it a toxic combination for any man in this world. So, quite frankly, that makes you more of a Diddy than I’ll ever be,” Swerve Strickland said.
MJF compared Swerve Strickland to P. Diddy
MJF previously took a shot at Swerve with Sean Combs-related remarks during his return to AEW Dynamite in Manchester. During his in-ring promo, Max compared Strickland to the disgraced musician.
“You really remind me of this musician, you guys have a lot in common, you both call yourself moguls, rock chains, rock way too much baby oil, and dog sh*t rappers, oh that’s right, P. Diddy,” MJF said.
MJF, “Hangman” Adam Page, and Swerve Strickland will challenge Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship in a four-way match at Worlds End this Saturday. Fans can catch up on WrestleZone’s ongoing Dynamite coverage here.
