MJF has confirmed that he will defend the World title outside of AEW later this month, announcing a major title match for Limitless Wrestling.
A few weeks ago, Limitless Wrestling announced that AEW star MJF would return to the promotion for the Limitless Rumble on Friday, January 16. Following the announcement, MJF won the World Championship at AEW Worlds End, defeating Samoa Joe, Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland in a fatal four-way match.
Since reclaiming AEW’s top prize, MJF has had no shortage of challengers on AEW Dynamite, with Strickland, Page, Samoa Joe, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega all making it clear they want a shot at his Triple B. MJF is also scheduled to defend the title against Bandido, the reigning Dynamite Diamond Ring winner, at Dynamite Maximum Carnage on January 14.
To start the new year, MJF revealed that he will defend his AEW World title against independent standout Alec Price at the Limitless Rumble. This match marks MJF’s first appearance for Limitless Wrestling since September 2019, which came just one month before Dynamite first aired.
In a video posted on X, formerly known as, Twitter, MJF challenged Alec Price to an AEW World Championship match at Limitless Wrestling’s Limitless Rumble on Friday, January 16. However, he also made it clear that the match will only be for the title if he is still the champion.
