It seems the WWE NXT roster will continue to get thinner in the coming weeks if RAW and SmackDown have anything to say about it.
In recent weeks, we’ve seen Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Jordynne Grace called up to the WWE main roster in the ongoing “free agent” storyline. We’ve even seen video packages for NXT Champion Oba Femi continuously play on SmackDown. But it appears the main roster creative team has their eyes on another former champion.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), former NXT Women’s North American Champion Blake Monroe has been discussed in recent weeks for a main roster call-up. With some sources already believing that the former Mariah May will end up on RAW.
Due to these discussions, Sapp has heard that immediate plans for Blake Monroe could be changing as soon as this week.
Monroe will challenge Thea Hail for the NXT Women’s North American Championship tomorrow night at New Year’s Evil.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
