CM Punk left Brooklyn as World Heavyweight Champion after picking up a victory over Bron Breakker on WWE RAW.
Following Survivor Series: WarGames, a World Heavyweight Championship match was made for the January 5 episode of WWE RAW, which would see CM Punk defending his title against The Vision’s Bron Breakker.
After a month of build, we finally got the match in the main event of tonight’s episode of RAW. This saw CM Punk coming out on top despite plenty of interference from The Vision. The faction was neutralized by Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee.
The mind games started early when CM Punk made his way to the ring in a letterman jacket, which was clearly a shot at Breakker’s family, The Steiner Brothers. The duo was known for wearing jackets like that during their time in WWE.
The finish of the match saw Breakker go for the spear, but Punk caught him with a knee. The Champion followed up by hitting another GTS to score the pinfall victory and retain his title.
