Former WWE Star Deletes Social Media After Israel Wrestling Show Backlash

A former WWE star has deactivated her social media accounts after facing backlash over an independent wrestling appearance in Israel.

Former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Priscilla Kelly (FKA Gigi Dolin) recently posted on X/Twitter sharing her excitement about appearing at an Israeli Pro Wrestling Association (IPWA) event. However, after receiving backlash over attending the show amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, she posted an apology, saying she’s decided not to appear at the event.

“I have made the decision to not travel to Israel for the show that was announced earlier. My intention was never to make a political statement, but to entertain those who were not tied to horrific humanitarian crisis, I do not want to be a part of this any further or give the idea that I condone the actions of the government in any way. I apologize for any harm this may have caused,” the former WWE star posted.

It appears the backlash continued even after she posted the apology, as she has deactivated her social media accounts, including her X/Twitter and Instagram, after receiving what many described as an influx of violent messages.

Priscilla Kelly Opened Up About Bullying And Going Through Depression At The End Of Her WWE Run

During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Priscilla Kelly recalled dealing with bullying and mental health issues towards the end of her WWE run.

“I went through a lot of stuff in WWE that kind of shot me into this horrible depression and at the tail end of Toxic (Attraction) I was severely depressed,” she said. “I put on on a bunch of weight, I started not caring about my ring work, I kind of gave up ’cause I was just so depressed because of things that were happening behind the scenes.

“I kind of went through this down period of, ‘I hate my life, I’m collecting a paycheck. I’m just hoping someday I can get back to who I am and the performer that I am.’ I as soon as I started to feel like I was myself again, I tore my meniscus.” [H/T The Stunner]
