Don’t hold your breath for this WWE return.
Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin departed the company back in October 2024. Her exit created a lot of online drama with many fans blaming her boyfriend, AEW‘s Ricochet, for her departure. However, that was never the case.
Irvin departed the company over creative differences as the she wanted to be more than just a ring announcer. Despite her bio reading, “soon to be the greatest wrestling manager of the modern era,” Irvin is still sitting out a reported two-year non-compete after her WWE exit.
While many fans would like to see her return to WWE instead, Irvin has recently made it abundantly clear that’s not going to happen.
When a fan online criticized Irvin on social media for wanting to be a “manager for a mid carder in the number two promotion,” the former WWE ring announcer made her future intentions quite clear, tweeting out:
“I’m not going back to WWE *praying hands emoji,*” Samantha Irvin said in a post.
Unless Samantha decides to take WWE to court over her current non-compete, it’s unlikely we see her along her husband Ricochet on AEW programming anytime soon.
