A TNA star has reached an important milestone in his sobriety journey.
Current TNA star Trey Miguel made headlines a couple of weeks ago when he got released by AEW within a few days after signing with the company alongside his The Rascalz partners. He has since returned to TNA Wrestling.
After commenting on his AEW exit and TNA return on a few occasions, Trey Miguel took to X/Twitter to share a personal milestone. He noted that after 16 years of use, he is officially one month sober from marijuana.
“It’s only a start but I’m officially one month clean of [marijuana] for the first time in over 16 years!” he posted.
Wrestling fans are showing strong support for the TNA star for his commitment to recovery, especially after he recently went through some chaotic times in his career.
Trey Miguel expressed his gratitude to TNA Wrestling
Following his return to TNA Wrestling, Trey Miguel took to Instagram to post an emotional update, thanking the company for welcoming him back.
He noted that he went through a tough time after getting released by AEW and even considered ending his career. He then thanked TNA Wrestling for its support and for keeping his dream alive.
“I felt like my dream died as quickly as it was realized,” said Miguel. “But it’s in moments like this that god will show you how strong you actually are. But if it weren’t for the support system that God has blessed me with I don’t know if I would have been able to turn that decision around.
“Words can’t describe how eternally grateful I am for [TNA Wrestling] for saving this dream for me,” Miguel said. “And to the ones who encouraged me to stick it out I will forever be in debt to. If you supported me through this, I love you. If you didn’t, I still love you. There’s no room in my heart for hate. Now with that being said I have to show the world what I’m made of and I’m just thankful to still have that opportunity.”
