ECW legend The Sandman is set to wrestle the final match of his career during WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) recently confirmed that The Sandman will appear at Joey Janela’s Spring Break X on April 17 in Las Vegas. The show takes place during WWE WrestleMania 42 weekend and will feature what is being advertised as The Sandman’s last match.
Joey Janela made the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter. He confirmed that The Sandman will face The Invisible Man in the farewell match. The match will officially see the ECW icon’s in-ring career come to an end. The Sandman has stayed lightly active over the years. His most recent match took place at GHW Halloween in October 2025.
Notably, he has also made several surprise appearances, including a run-in during Sabu’s farewell match at Spring Break IX. While the announcement created a lot of buzz among fans. Some were excited to see the ECW legend one last time, while others were concerned for him.
The Sandman, who reached 62 years of age, has not competed regularly in wrestling matches in the past few years. However, his fans remain connected to him through his infrequent public appearances.
