The Righteous Tease TNA Cinematic Match With The Hardys

The Righteous has big plans for their relationship with the Hardys and TNA.

Vincent and Dutch, collectively known as The Righteous, spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of TNA No Surrender. The duo had been with AEW and Ring of Honor for the past two years, and were the subjects of rumors that had them signing with WWE.

They joined TNA in December 2025, after months of speculation and online teases about their next move. When asked why they remained off television for most of the year, Dutch said it was all about readjusting and picking their moment.

“We took the majority of 2025 to kind of readjust and figure ourselves out again. We wanted to reintroduce The Righteous when the time was right,” Dutch explained. “TNA called about a week before our debut, and everything just worked out the way that it did. Couldn’t be happier with the way that it’s been going.”

Vincent also pointed out that they were still active on social media, sharing creative images and vignettes put together by The Editorial Style’s Dani.

“We’d had these ideas on the back burner for a bit and really wanted to bring them to life. So we felt like that gap was the perfect time to do it,” Vincent said. “It was almost like a rebrand and a rebuild before whatever moves were going to be made.”

The TNA-AMC Partnership is great for The Righteous in many ways

Vincent has been in TNA before, as he was a member of the Honor No More stable when the company was still called IMPACT Wrestling. He praised the company for trusting their vision, and noted how their feud with the Hardys is “only a chapter” of the story they are telling.

“There are so many layers to it and different roads we can go down, so it’s been absolutely awesome,” Vincent said.

“And I feel like with the partnership being announced the week before our debut, it was the right time. There couldn’t have been a better time,” Dutch added. “And as you can see, viewership and ratings have been on the rise every week. So this partnership with AMC has been amazing so far.”

TNA No Surrender will see The Righteous team with The Hardys, who had been introduced as adversaries. Vincent highlighted why Matt and Jeff still resonate with fans, noting that the brothers are very true to themselves and inspired a generation of people, like him, to become pro wrestlers.

“This story has been really interesting for us and huge for our careers, especially coming into TNA right off the bat,” Vincent said. “Everything has been really awesome in that sense. They genuinely want to see everyone around them succeed, which is fantastic.

The Righteous teases “something bigger” with The Hardys

The Righteous admires The Hardys, and Vincent even highlighted how that real-life story bled into their on-air program.

“The interesting part of this story is that we faced The Hardys at Genesis for the tag team titles during the AMC debut. I chained Jeff’s ear to the turnbuckle with a padlock, just to get the best version of The Hardys going into Genesis—which we did,” Vincent pointed out. “The match ended with a big smile on our faces as we presented them the tag titles. But really, it was all to show that we want them to be the tag team champions. The Hardys are the guys in TNA, and we wanted to demonstrate our loyalty and support for them.

“We actually want The Righteous and The Hardys to become something bigger,” Vincent continued. “I think Jeff even mentioned maybe a faction, calling it ‘Freaky Team Xtreme.’ It’ll be interesting to see how things develop from this point onward, especially after No Surrender.”

“I’m excited. I’m pumped. It’s all coming together,” Dutch added. “Not only are they TNA’s tag team champions, they’re our tag team champions.”

Could another cinematic match be in The Hardys’ future?

Vincent offered one more tease, pointing out the cinematic connection between AMC’s iconic FearFest marathon and a match type that The Hardys are known to set the bar for.

“It’s interesting — how cool would it be to feature almost every version of The Hardys? And we’re on AMC, so being part of the first-ever cinematic match on a network like that would be fantastic, especially with all the different shows they do, like FearFest. It all fits so well with AMC.

“Who knows? Maybe that could happen in the future. Maybe The Hardys and The Righteous become a faction. Like you said, Bill, it’s very layered, which is the coolest part to me. It gives us so many options, and right now, nobody knows where it’s going to go.”

TNA No Surrender will take place at The Pinnacle in Nashville on Friday, February 13. The event will stream live on TNA+.
