TNA iMPACT Results

Our opening contest is for the TNA World Championship.

Mike Santana (c) vs. Eric Young – TNA World Championship

  • The finish of the match saw Ricky Sosa make his return to distract Eric Young, allowing Mike Santana to score the winning pinfall.

Winner and still TNA World Champion: Mike Santana

Nic Nemeth shows up with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. Nemeth teases cashing in the trophy. Santana is still favoring his neck. Nemeth grabs the mic and says he vowed to look the winner of the World Title match in the eye and tell them that he’s coming after them at Slammiversary. He then announces Santana vs. Nemeth for the World Title at Slammiversary. Both men shake hands as Tom Hannifan wonders if Nemeth is going to stand by his words.

Grade: A-

The in-ring action between Mike Santana and Eric Young was solid, with both men delivering the hard-hitting performance you’d expect from veterans of their caliber. However, the real story began after the bell. Ricky Sosa’s surprise return added an intriguing wrinkle to Santana’s victory, but the post-match segment with Nic Nemeth stole the spotlight. Rather than exploiting Santana’s weakened condition and cashing in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet opportunity, Nemeth honored his word by announcing his Slammiversary challenge in advance. It’s a clear indication that TNA is steering Nemeth toward a babyface turn, and the respectful confrontation did an effective job of building anticipation for the World Title match.

We hear from Order 4

Gia Miller is standing by with Order 4. Mustafa Ali leads a round of applause for Nic Nemeth before mocking him for not cashing in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet while Santana was at a disadvantage. He then brings up his TNA iMPACT main event match against KC Navarro for the International Championship. Ali reveals that Navarro recently lost his uncle and says that KC will fall tonight just like his uncle. Jason Hotch is visibly uncomfortable with Ali’s appalling remarks as we move on to the next segment.

Elijah vs. Mr. Elegance

Elijah leads a chorus of “Walk With Elijah” chants to the tune of his guitar. The Drifter is distracted when someone appears with a cease-and-desist order, allowing Mr. Elegance to score the pinfall victory. AJ Francis then reveals that he was the person behind the cease-and-desist. Elijah is livid and sends Francis crashing to the outside with a clothesline. He follows it up by sending Francis’ crony into the steel steps before brawling with Francis into the crowd.

Back in the ring, Mr. Elegance’s victory celebration is cut short by TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee. However, as Lee is pummeling Mr. Elegance, Xia Brookside blindsides the champion. Lee eventually manages to hit her finisher on her former best friend and sets her up for a blockbuster, but Brookside escapes to the outside before Lee can capitalize as we move on to the next part of the show.

Injury update on Trey Miguel

According to the latest TNA injury report, Trey Miguel is expected to return to action within six to eight weeks. Miguel has been sidelined with a knee injury since TNA Rebellion, where Mustafa Ali defeated him to win the TNA International Championship.

Backstage segment on TNA iMPACT

KC Navarro is warming up for his International Championship match against Mustafa Ali when Nic Nemeth approaches him and offers a pep talk. Navarro admits that he didn’t expect Nemeth to announce his title shot in advance. Nemeth says he did what he had to do because that’s what real men do.

Ryan Nemeth interrupts and voices his frustration with his older brother’s actions. Mike Santana then shows up and tells Nemeth that after he retains his title, Nemeth will be forced to shake his hand.

KC reminds everyone that tonight is about the biggest match of his career, one that he’s dedicating to his late uncle’s memory. Concerned that Order 4 could get involved, he asks Nemeth and Santana to have his back if things get out of hand. Both men agree to watch out for him. The segment ends with Ryan reminding Navarro that he’s the younger brother, to which Navarro sarcastically responds, “Congratulations.”

Leon Slater and Fabian Aichner vs. The System

  • The finish of the match saw Cedric Alexander hit Leon Slater with a Lumbar Check to score the pinfall victory.

Winners: Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander

Alexander and Edwards attack Leon Slater after the match. Aichner rushes in to even the odds, taking out both men before attempting to lift Bear Bronson. However, he is overwhelmed by the collective might of The System.

Moose’s music then hits, sending his former stablemates scrambling from the ring. The Face of the Franchise reveals that he spoke to Santino Marella, who has officially booked him to face Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary.

Grade: B+

While the match itself was well-executed and competitive, the clear highlight came after the bell with Moose’s impactful return. His appearance immediately shifted the focus, setting up a major Slammiversary clash against Eddie Edwards and adding meaningful momentum to the ongoing storyline involving The System.

Indi Hartwell gets her rematch

With his family feud behind him, Santino Marella reveals that Arianna Grace and Stacks will not be back in TNA for the foreseeable future. Indi Hartwell then shows up and requests a rematch against Elayna Black, which Marella confirms for next week’s TNA iMPACT.

We hear from The Righteous

The Righteous are in the ring. Vincent says the Wicked Garden defines “don’t let go,” and last week history was made with the first-ever Wicked Garden match. He brings up the “Lily of the Valley,” a poisonous flower he shoved into Jeff Hardy’s mouth last week, and says The Righteous classify the Hardys as obsolete.

Dutch takes over the promo, expressing his joy at The Righteous defeating The Hardys last week in the Wicked Garden. Vincent adds that now that they have defeated The Hardys, there is one more thing left to harvest, setting their sights on the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

Santino Marella appears and says The Righteous make him uncomfortable but agrees that the Wicked Garden was historic. He notes that The Hardys have a rematch clause against The System and announces a three-way ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Slammiversary, featuring The System, The Hardys, and The Righteous.

Vincent reacts angrily to the announcement. The lights go out, and Matt Hardy’s laugh echoes through the arena. When the lights come back on, a ladder stands behind The Righteous, who are visibly fazed by the sight of the eerie object, with no sign of The Hardys.

The Elegance Brand vs. The Undead Realm

  • The finish of the match saw Allie hit a Codebreaker on Heather for the win.

Winners: Rosemary, Allie and Mara Sade

Grade: C+

I agree with Tom Hannifan that this was one of the more bizarre Knockouts matches. There was witchcraft involved and whatnot. On a more important note, it appears we’ll get Rosemary and Allie vs. The Elegance Brand for the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at TNA Slammiversary.

Mustafa Ali (c) vs. KC Navarro – TNA International Championship

  • The finish of the match saw KC Navarro tap out to the Sharpshooter.

Winner and still TNA International Champion: Mustafa Ali

Ali once again traps Navarro in the Sharpshooter. Nic Nemeth and Mike Santana show up to take care of Order 4. Both men take out Special Agent 0 with a double clothesline, only to find themselves surrounded by Order 4. However, Mustafa Ali signals his faction to stand down.

As Santana checks on Navarro, Nemeth saves him from an attack by Ali with a superkick before planting the TNA World Champion with a Danger Zone to cap off the night.

Grade: A-

This was great, fast-paced action with Mustafa Ali taking the lead as the veteran, controlling much of the match with his ring IQ and experience. KC Navarro looked determined throughout, and the pacing kept the momentum high from start to finish.

The finish genuinely caught me by surprise, as it felt like Navarro had a real chance of pulling off the upset victory. That made the eventual tap out even more impactful. The post-match chaos involving Order 4 added another layer to the segment, keeping the tension high.

Nic Nemeth helping Mike Santana fend off Mustafa Ali’s assault, only to then sneak in and hit a Danger Zone on the TNA World Champion, was the perfect way to cap off the show. It left things on a strong cliffhanger and added intrigue heading into Slammiversary.

Overall Grade: B+

Overall, this was a solid episode of TNA iMPACT that had a strong structure but uneven pacing in the middle.

The show started off well with Mike Santana vs. Eric Young, which delivered a good in-ring foundation and set the tone early. Ricky Sosa’s return reignited his feud with the man who put him out of action months ago.

The surprise result of Mr. Elegance picking up a win over Elijah was unexpected, but it worked in terms of keeping his momentum and winning streak alive.

The ongoing storyline between The Hardys and The Righteous continues to feel stretched out. While ladder match setup for Slammiversary adds spectacle, it’s starting to rely more on repetition than progression.

The Knockouts match ended up being the weakest point of the night, mostly due to the over-the-top presentation overshadowing the actual in-ring work.

Mustafa Ali vs. KC Navarro was fast-paced and engaging throughout, with Ali once again proving his veteran presence. The surprise factor in the finish genuinely worked, and the post-match chaos involving Order 4 added stakes heading into the next show. The closing angle with Nic Nemeth and Mike Santana stood out as the highlight, especially with Nemeth teasing a face turn by honoring his word instead of taking shortcuts, only to still find an opportunistic edge at the end.

In the end, a show that peaked strongly at the start and finish, even if the middle portion didn’t fully maintain that same level.

That’s it for tonight, and I’ll be back with more TNA coverage next week.
