WWE’s Oba Femi Says ‘Raheem’ Is The One Black Person To Beat Brock Lesnar

Oba Femi reminded everyone that ‘Raheem’ was the only Black WWE star whose momentum Brock Lesnar couldn’t stop.

Former NXT Champion Oba Femi was a recent guest on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast. During the conversation, he looked back at his brief encounter with Brock Lesnar during the 2026 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Talking about the possibility of Oba Femi facing Brock Lesnar in the future, host O’Shea Jackson Jr playfully reminded the former NXT Champion that black wrestlers need a big victory against the Beast Incarnate. Lesnar had defeated notable Black wrestlers like Kofi Kingston, Bobby Lashley, Big E, and Omos in significant matches, and the host rooted for Femi to beat him.

However, Oba Femi hilariously responded to the statement by saying ‘Raheem’ is the only Black wrestler Brock Lesnar was not able to stop. He was referring to Cody Rhodes’ ‘Raheem’ nickname, which stemmed from an NSFW meme and remix of his theme song. Rhodes got it after a promo he delivered in AEW in 2021, in which he talked about being married to a Black woman and having a biracial daughter.

“Hold on, we have to remember there’s one Black person that Brock was not able to stop his momentum,” Oba said before a brief, yet dramatic, pause. “Raheem!”

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar faced off in three one-on-one matches in 2023, and Rhodes won the feud 2-1. The American Nightmare also referenced the ‘Raheem’ meme during his promo on the February 6, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown.

Recent reports indicate that Brock Lesnar may face Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. While nothing is confirmed, fans could get a clear picture when the Beast Incarnate returns on the February 23 episode of WWE RAW in Atlanta.
