Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest star in WWE, and fellow WWE star CJ Perry recently opened up about who she believes the Roman Reigns of the women’s division is.
Speaking to TMZ Sports (via Wrestling Inc.) in a recent interview, Perry heaped praise upon WWE star Rhea Ripley. According to Perry, Ripley is the WWE Women’s division’s version of Roman Reigns, in the way she’s a huge star.
Perry also name-dropped other stars in the women’s division, including Charlotte Flair, as potential people similar to Reigns.
“In some ways, Rhea is like the Roman Reigns of the women. She’s a big player. Some would maybe say Charlotte Flair,” said Perry. “Some would say, I mean, of course I would have Liv Morgan in there too ’cause I think she’s the greatest woman of all time. But you know, possibly Triple H and Nick Khan and creative, the decision makers, they could see Rhea Ripley as like the Roman Reigns, right?”
Perry went on to note that Ripley’s dominance in the ring is something she can do on the regular, and is something she believes she’ll see again at WrestleMania, when Ripley faces Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.
“She is incredible. Like, she is brutality. She brought brutality to that match. And she is a needle mover. She really does move the needle on the internet for sure. People are always invested in her. I always see people dressed up as her when we go to the shows. And so it’s exciting,” Perry said. “I’m excited to see her match against Jade. I think it’s going to be pretty vicious.”
