Drew McIntyre ‘Quits’ After WWE Title Loss on SmackDown

The March 13 episode of WWE SmackDown opened with a dramatic moment as Drew McIntyre decided to “quit” SmackDown.

The show started with McIntyre expressing his frustration about how he lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes last week. He climbed onto the announce table and said he would stay there all night unless Nick Aldis found a way to “fix” the situation after the controversial title loss.

Aldis soon came out and made it clear that the decision would not be changed. The SmackDown General Manager said McIntyre was simply refusing to accept responsibility for what happened.

He also accused the Scottish star of acting like a victim and ignoring the choices he made during his rivalry with Cody Rhodes. This only made the former WWE Champion even angrier. McIntyre fired back by calling Rhodes a “corporate champion” and calling Aldis a “corporate stooge.”

The segment took another turn when Jacob Fatu came out to the ring.

Jacob Fatu admitted that he was the reason Drew McIntyre lost the championship last week. He told McIntyre that it had nothing to do with Aldis, Rhodes, or the referee. Fatu admitted that he deliberately got involved in the situation.

“I’m the one who screwed your ass,” Fatu told McIntyre. Fatu then challenged McIntyre and asked him what he was going to do about it.

McIntyre said he is “done.”

Instead of attacking, McIntyre looked frustrated and exhausted. After staring at Fatu and Aldis for a moment, he said he was done with Aldis, Fatu, Rhodes, and even the fans. The Scottish Warrior then said “I quit” on Aldis’ face and left the arena through the audience.

Although it seemed like McIntyre might be walking away, the moment is obviously a part of the ongoing storyline following his rivalry with Rhodes.
