WWE quietly made a series of trademark filings this week, signalling potential additions or rebrands within its developmental system — though the identities behind the names remain under wraps for now.
The applications, submitted on March 19, include several fresh monikers that appear tailored for in-ring use.
While WWE often keeps these details close to the vest, the filings offer an early look at what could be the next wave of NXT talent stepping into the spotlight.
WWE files trademarks for potential NXT talents
The newly filed names include Anya Rune, Gianna Capri, Veronica Haven, Jacari Ball, and Max Abrams.
Each application follows WWE’s standard language for performer trademarks, covering wrestling appearances across live events, broadcast platforms, and digital content.
At this stage, it’s not confirmed whether these names are tied to newly signed athletes or existing WWE Performance Center recruits awaiting their on-screen identities. Much like a mystery opponent entering at number 30, the reveal is still to come.
Recent activity suggests multiple possibilities. WWE has added new prospects to the Performance Center, including independent wrestler Rayne Leverkusen, and continues to develop talent through various pipelines.
At the same time, the upcoming third season of WWE LFG — set to premiere on April 26 — could also serve as a launchpad for new or repackaged characters.
Name changes are nothing new in WWE’s system. Talent often receive updated identities as they transition to television, with some even undergoing rebranding mid-run.
In that sense, these filings could represent future debuts, character shifts, or simply ideas waiting in the wings.
It’s also worth noting that not every trademark makes it to TV, as plans can evolve quickly. Still, the volume of filings suggests WWE is actively preparing its next class of performers.
For now, these names sit in the pipeline — not quite main event ready, but clearly waiting for their cue to enter the ring.
