WWE has edited out CM Punk calling for lower ticket prices from the clip of his RAW promo.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk opened up last night’s episode of WWE RAW and delivered a heated promo, similar to his iconic pipe bomb. Apart from addressing his WrestleMania 42 opponent, Roman Reigns, Punk also referenced Vince McMahon, Pat McAfee, and also took a dig at TKO CEO Ari Emmanuel.
CM Punk ripped into Pat McAfee for entering the Undisputed WWE Championship storyline between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, and also mentioned Ari Emmanuel without naming him for inserting McAfee into the angle. He then brought up the high WrestleMania 42 ticket prices, saying, “You wanna talk about ticket sales? Do me a favor. Call up the agent that was foolish enough to shoehorn you into this business…and tell him to lower the ticket prices.”
While fans hailed the promo segment for showcasing a rare moment when corporate decisions were called out on television, WWE removed the part where CM Punk addressed the ticket prices in the clip they posted on their official X/Twitter account.
CM Punk will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 42, and according to the official lineup, their clash will headline Night 2 on April 19.
Drew McIntyre reveals one thing he’ll never make fun of CM Punk for
During his recent appearance on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast, Drew McIntyre addressed his heated rivalry with CM Punk on a few occasions. However, when discussing the recent passing of his pet cat Chaz, he explained how hard it is to say goodbye to a loved one. He noted that it’s the one thing he’ll never make fun of Punk about, saying his heart broke for Punk and AJ Lee when their dog Larry passed away.
“That’s one thing I’ll never make fun of Punk for. When Larry was gone, my heart broke for him and AJ because those little guys are just full of love. But yeah, we’ve not posted about it because we just can’t bear ourselves to talk about it, so it’s the first time I’ve talked about it, and I don’t care if I get emotional on camera. It really hurts that bad, and I miss the little guy,” Drew McIntyre said.
