D’Angelo’s first defense comes quickly after capturing the NXT Championship on April 4. His celebration didn’t last long, as multiple challengers stepped forward, including Ethan Page.
What followed was a chaotic series of confrontations involving Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, and the DarkState faction. This development proves that being “The Don” means business never stays quiet for long.
After the dust settled, D’Angelo made his intentions clear and demanded a match with Page. NXT General Manager Robert Stone later made it official, setting up a high-pressure first defense. Meanwhile, Lola Vice faces a different kind of challenge — a rematch with Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship. Stone confirmed the bout, and this booking stems directly from Vice’s title win at Stand & Deliver, where she made history.
