Tony D’Angelo and Lola Vice Set for First Title Defenses at WWE NXT Revenge

WWE NXT is wasting no time raising the stakes after Stand & Deliver. Two newly crowned champions are already set to defend their titles — but not without lingering tensions heading into next week’s “Revenge” special.

The April 7 episode of NXT confirmed that both Tony D’Angelo and Lola Vice will put their championships on the line when the two-week NXT Revenge event begins on April 14 at the NXT Arena.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Ethan Page and Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne set for NXT Revenge

D’Angelo’s first defense comes quickly after capturing the NXT Championship on April 4. His celebration didn’t last long, as multiple challengers stepped forward, including Ethan Page.

What followed was a chaotic series of confrontations involving Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, and the DarkState faction. This development proves that being “The Don” means business never stays quiet for long.

After the dust settled, D’Angelo made his intentions clear and demanded a match with Page. NXT General Manager Robert Stone later made it official, setting up a high-pressure first defense. It’s a classic case of new champ, same chaos. D’Angelo will need more than family ties to keep his reign from being “whacked” early.

Meanwhile, Lola Vice faces a different kind of challenge — a rematch with Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship. Stone confirmed the bout, and this booking stems directly from Vice’s title win at Stand & Deliver, where she made history.

Unlike D’Angelo’s situation, Vice’s test is more personal and immediate. Jayne, backed by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, will look to flip the script just days after losing the title opportunity. For Vice, this is less about proving she can win and more about proving it wasn’t beginner’s luck.

Week one of NXT Revenge is already loaded, including the continuation of the WWE Speed Championship tournament and other featured matches.

With both champions stepping into their first defenses, NXT is setting a fast pace — and if this is “Revenge,” someone’s title run may end before it truly begins.
