TNA Teases Former World Champion’s Return At Rebellion PPV

It sounds like TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE is coming to TNA Rebellion.

TNA has been teasing a “mystery box” that would be revealed at its Rebellion pay-per-view this weekend in Cleveland. The teaser videos only showed the outside of the box, but a new one shows the contents of that crate.

The new video shows that the box contains a Cleveland Indians block ‘C’ hat, as well as a foam finger and wrestling trunks that belonged to EC3. The tease seems clear: EC3 is coming home.

EC3 wrestled for TNA from 2013 to 2018 and won the World Heavyweight Championship two times. Since then, he’s competed for WWE, Ring of Honor, and in his own promotion, Control Your Narrative. More recently, EC3 competed for the National Wrestling Alliance, where he won the NWA National Championship and NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

EC3 confirmed he left the NWA in January. He recently clarified comments where he said he was blackballed from wrestling, stating that it was a sarcastic aside. During his response, he seemingly teased a potential return to TNA, or at least to the “Top 1%” persona he crafted during his tenure with the company.

“Blackballed? Please. The only thing my balls are is sunned,” he added. “No. I have been ‘building.’ Quietly. Developing talent. Crafting Exodus Pro as a prestige independent. Working on a ‘creative conclusion’ to The Top 1% that will blow ‘wrestling brains loads.’ Blackballed implies someone has power over me. Name one.”

Another former TNA star, Taryn Terrell, recently returned to the company. She will also make her in-ring return at Rebellion; she confirmed how long it’s been planned, and teased how long it might last.
